Serving the upper Clearwater valley since 1987

Food for every neighbor, no questions asked.

If you live in the valley and need groceries, come by. No income test, no paperwork beyond a piece of mail with your address. We're glad you're here.

Need food?

Here's how it works.

Most visits take about fifteen minutes. A volunteer will walk you through it the first time.

  • Everyone in the valley qualifies

If you live in Alder Springs or anywhere in the upper Clearwater valley, you're welcome. We don't ask about income.

  • Bring something with your address

A photo ID, a utility bill, or any envelope mailed to you. That's it.

  • Tue, Thu & Sat 9am–noon, Wed 5:30–7pm

The Wednesday evening session is for people who work days. Come to any one session each week.

  • 412 Mill Street, alley entrance

Behind the Grange hall. Park in the gravel lot and follow the green signs.

Who comes here

Some months are harder than others.

Families between paychecks. Seniors whose fixed income stopped stretching. People who've never asked for help before. Half of the households we see come only a few times a year. Whatever brings you in, you'll be treated like the neighbor you are.

Ways to help

Four ways to keep the shelves full

  • Give food

Drop off unopened, non-perishable food during open hours. Peanut butter, canned protein, and cereal go fastest.

    What we need most
  • Grow and give

Garden or orchard running over? We take fresh produce Tuesday and Saturday mornings, washed or not.

    Produce drop-off
  • Run a food drive

Schools, offices, and churches run drives all year. We'll lend you bins and a poster.

    Plan a drive
  • Give money

Every dollar buys about four dollars of food through our regional food bank. Gifts are tax-deductible.
